Terms & Conditions
Dear Member, Parent or Guardian,
Welcome to Llanelli Gymnastics Club.
Children attending General Class sessions will have the opportunity to use the apparatus in the gym, under the guidance of our trained coaches and helpers. Historically, children from these sessions have gone on to become Welsh and British title winning gymnasts and we take immense pride in that. In order to ensure that the Club continues to excel and run efficiently, we would like to make you aware of the following points:
- We require a full personal and medical information to be completed for each member, with parent or guardian contact details available in case of an emergency.
- For safety purposes, please accompany all children into the building, and collect them from the building promptly at the end of each session.
- Children must be out of nappies and able to use a toilet, to attend any general class sessions.
- Participants should wear suitable attire for the sessions e.g. shorts & t-shirts, leggings or leotards. Hair must be tied back and no jewellery should be worn.
- Gymnastics like other sports carries the risk of accidents. If an accident occurs, it will be recorded in the club’s accident book, and the parent/guardian will be contacted. We will keep the participant as comfortable as possible, until the parent/guardian arrives, but just a reminder our coaches are not doctors or nurses.
- The Club will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour from members, parents/guardians or coaches, and any inappropriate behaviour could lead to exclusion from the Club.
- The Club’s Welfare Officers is Colette James and Lisa Bennett, and any concerns regarding welfare issues, can be discussed with either of them in confidence.
- The Club receives no funding from professional bodies and relies totally on members fees. Therefore, all fees must be paid on time, or this will result in the gymnast being unable to attend sessions, or lose their place in their relevant class.
- All members joining the Club will be required to become members of Welsh Gymnastics. Therefore after an initial settling in period of three weeks, they will be required to pay a membership fee to Welsh Gymnastics, and renew this annually. This membership will entitle them to personal member benefits, including insurance and discounts.
- During some Club events and competitions, we take photographs of the children participating and publicise them on some Social media platforms. If you would prefer your child not to be included in any photographs publicly or on social media, please make us aware of this during registration and/or notify one of our coaches or officials at your earliest convenience.
Llanelli Gymnastics Club is an Amateur Gymnastics Club, and run on a Not for Profit basis. We are an inclusive Club and are passionate about developing our members’ abilities to achieve their full potential within the sport of Gymnastics. We are committed to ensuring that our Club is affordable for all to participate in, therefore if any member, whose annual fees exceed £520, feel that they are unaffordable, they are welcome to apply to the Secretary of the Club, for a concessionary membership reduction, to no more than £520 per annum, to ensure that they are not disadvantaged. All applications will be considered on an individual basis.
We hope your child enjoys their time with us, and if you have any further queries or concerns, please approach one of the coaches who will be more than happy to discuss them.
